Luigi Bosca Malbec DOC

Amalaya Malbec

Amalaya Malbec

• D.O.: Salta - Valle Calchaquí.
• Variedades: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat y Syrah.
• Formato: 75cl.

• Wine Enthusiast 01/11/2012: 87 pts - "This smells of exotic blueberry and graham cracker, and it feels wide and solid, with herbal, woodsy flavors of juniper and plum. Dry and healthy on the finish, this made from 75% Malbec, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tannat in the blend."
• Wine Spectator 31/07/2012: 89 pts - Smart Buys - "A racy, floral red, offering layers of raspberry ganache, blackberry and light fig fruit that mingle with spice, spring herb and light mesquite notes. Though not a powerhouse, this is well-balanced. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Syrah. Drink now."
• Wine Advocate #203 - October 2012 - Neal Martin: 85 pts - "The 2010 Amalaya Tinto is a blend of 75% Malbec and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon with some Tannat and Syrah, aged for ten months in French and American oak. It has a meaty bouquet with dusty red berry fruit mixed with a touch of sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe cherry fruit, but there is a greenness that comes through on the finish. Drink now."
